Plot[]

Outside a festival, Burgess finds a cap belonging to Conner inside the car, realizing they are here. She turns around, before she sees Kurt with Conner, who is being forced around. Acting fast, she calls out to them, with Kurt taking out his gun and opening fire while taking his captive. Burgess and Roman chase the pair, as the park patrons run.

Finally, Intelligence arrive on the scene and Kurt would be surrounded, pointing a gun at Conner in the standoff. Dawson tries to negotiate with him, as Kurt wants answers from Boyd but Dawson tells him that Boyd only participated in covering up the crime not the killing and is innocent. Although shocked, Kurt maintains his stance by declaring his son was the only good thing he had and those involved took him in a horrible way. However, Dawson empathizes with his loss but states killing Boyd's son was not going to bring his son back. Kurt understands and lets Conner leave with Dawson, then points his gun at Antonio and Conner, but before he can do anything, Jay shoots him, killing Kurt. Hank congratulates Dawson on saving the victim, though the pair bitterly look upon Kurt's corpse.

That night, Alvin is leaving the precinct when he spots Michelle awaiting at his car. She tells him that she was robbed. She states in this moment he can try to be fatherly to her but then rejects this, asking for money. Not wanting to play mind games with her, Alvin gives her money and wishes her luck, as she storms off but stops and cries. Seeing this, Alvin tells her that he knows she resents him for not being there for her growing up but tells her he is now and is trying to make up for it, with her at least having to acknowledge it. He tells her if she allows him in, then they can have a better start. Upon hearing this, Michelle appears to consider.
