Commander Ron Perry was the Commanding Officer of the 21st District, until his retirement. He was portrayed by Robert Wisdom.

History[]

During Conventions, when a serial killer started a spree from New York to Chicago, Perry arrived on the scene of the latest murder and was dismayed. He spoke to Voight, stating he had 600 reasons for not putting him in charge of Intelligence but the only reason that he entrusted it to him was that he got results for investigations like that, believing he can solve it. This proved to be true when he allowed intelligence to investigate the case and they were able to find the killers.

During At Least It's Justice, Perry is called in when a pedophile and murderer Lonnie Rodiger is found dead in the park. He and Voight interviewed Jay Halstead, who was known holding a grudge on his whereabouts at the time. Perry puts Halstead stayed on temporary suspension until IA gives him a call.

He later retired and was killed by a group of rogue cops in "Born Into Bad News". The cops were after his nephew who was attempting to report them. His death devastated Hank after he discovers that Carter did in fact participate in several of the corrupt units activities and was trying to cover his involvement. Voight personally condemned Carter for his indirect role that got his uncle killed and presumably had him arrested.
